As reported by Javier Morales of AllSportsTucson, Week 3 Ed Doherty Medallion Nominees included two local Desert Speed School athletes. The Ed Doherty Medallion is awarded each awarded each week to the top performers on the football field, and is presented by the Grand Canyon State Gridiron Club. Desert Speed School athletes selected as nominees included Roman Fina (Salpointe) and Rocco Haggard (Tanque Verde).
