Ratdke Lands Assistant Coaching Position

Desert Speed School athlete Taylor Ratdke, a local softball standout for Desert Christian and later for Vanguard University, was recently named to the coaching staff for Angelo State University. As reported by Andy Morales of AllSportsTucson, Radtke is currently pursuing her graduate degree at Angelo State following her years playing collegiately.

Castaneda, Bradford Earn All-American Scholar Recognition

Desert Speed School athletes Cassie Castaneda (University of North Dakota) and Ashley Bradford (Colorado Mesa) both earned All-American Scholar recognition recently from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Desert Speed School alumni and collegiate softball players Bela Goerke (Sahuaro HS) and Cassie Castaneda (Sabino HS) recently earned academic recognition for their performance in the classroom.
