Catalina Foothills has advanced to the 5A State Semifinals, as reported by the Arizona Daily Star. The Falcons – with Desert Speed School athletes Lauren Sizemore (above) and Alex Abeyta on the roster – won an 8-7 thriller over Cactus Shadows in the elimination bracket, setting up a Thursday semifinal game against top-seeded Willow Canyon.
