As reported by Andy Morales of AZPreps365, Desert Speed School athlete and Catalina Foothills point guard Clara-Mae Hager scored 26 points in a battle pitting two of the top girls teams in the state in Hager’s Foothills team taking on the defending state champion Salpointe girls’ team. The girls’ rankings going into the game had both Salpointe and Foothills as the #2-ranked teams in 4A and 5A, respectively. Hager finished with 26 points in the matchup – putting her over 1,500 for her career – though it was ultimately Salpointe coming away with the win.
