Six Desert Speed School athletes were awarded academic recognition following the spring 2022 season, according to Andy Morales of AllSportsTucson. These included Pac-12 Academic Honor Roll athletes Carlie Scupin (Arizona softball) and Miranda Erro (beach volleyball), along with Pima soccer’s Kortney Cahill, who was named an Academic All-American by the NJCAA.
In addition, Ben Dow (Fresno Pacific men’s soccer) and Emma Morris (Chaminade women’s basketball) were awarded PacWest Academic All-Conference honors following their seasons earlier this year, and Embry-Riddle’s Danielle Jamieson was honored with the prestigious Cal-Pac Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year.
