As reported by Javier Morales of AllSportsTucson, Salpointe took on Catalina Foothills recently; as expected, it was an epic matchup between two of the top teams in 4A and 5A, respectively. In addition to being a battle between two of the top teams in the state, it was a matchup between a number of Speed School athletes on both sides. Ultimately, the Lancers (Izaiah Moraga, Roman Fina, Paul Saffer) came away with a 3-2 victory in eight innings over the Foothills squad (Nate Shoemaker, Henry Nentl, Luke Burns, Rice Hughes, Levi Anderson, Ari Schiller, Stephen Henderson).
