As reported by Javier Morales of AllSportsTucson, Desert Speed School athlete and Catalina Foothills senior Nate Shoemaker helped lead his Falcon team to a second-round win on Monday, going 3-3 at the plate – including a first-inning two-run home run to open up the scoring for Foothills. Shoemaker was a triple away from hitting for the cycle in a dominant 13-0 run-rule win over Cienega, avenging a regular season loss to the Bobcats. Catalina Foothills advances to the third round to face #1 seed Waddell Canyon View on Thursday night.
