Castaneda, Bradford Earn All-American Scholar Recognition

Desert Speed School athletes Cassie Castaneda (University of North Dakota) and Ashley Bradford (Colorado Mesa) both earned All-American Scholar recognition recently from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Castaneda, a senior catcher for the Fighting Hawks who was also the conference Defensive Player of the Year, was part of a North Dakota squad with a 3.50 team GPA in the classroom.

For her part, Bradford posted a 3.73 GPA throughout the semester, part of a Colorado Mesa team with an average 3.57 GPA – one of the top scores in the country.
