Jamieson Named Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Desert Speed School athlete and Embry-Riddle outfielder Danielle Jamieson was awarded the Dr. Jim Davies Award recently, given out to the top scholar-athlete in the California Pacific Conference. From the Embry-Riddle website:

Jamieson was voted by the Cal Pac Directors Council as the student athlete who best embodies the NAIA Champions of Character both on and off the field.

Jamieson had an incredible senior year both on and off the field this season. In softball competition, Jamieson hit .409 with 16 RBI, four doubles and two triples. Her slash line consisted of the .409 average, .447 on-base percentage and a .500 slugging percentage.

Jamieson had an amazing impact on the Embry-Riddle campus in her four years in Prescott. The Tucson native graduated with a 4.0 while studying Global Security and Intelligence, and made the Dean’s List in all eight semesters of study. She earned Embry-Riddle’s Presidential Scholarship and Women of Excellence Scholarship, while earning an athletics scholarship on top of that.
